"JEEEEESSSSSY!!!!!!!!!!! SORA IS COMING OVER TODAY! GET UP! GET UP! GET UPPPP!!!!!!" Liz was jumping on her side and trying to shake her awake. "You HAVE to help me get ready!!!!!!!! You just gotta- JESSY! QUIT FALLING ASLEEP!!!!!!"
"OK! I'm up! I'm up! And 'Sora's' name is Beth. PLEASE call her that!"
"Finally!!!!! And no. It's her nick name!"
"But it has absolutely NOTHING to do with her REAL name!!!!"
"So?!"
Jess sighed knowing that Liz wouldn't quit until she got the last word, so she just dropped the subject. Besides, they argue about it all the time, she was sure that they'd have another argument about it soon. Liz pulled/dragged Jess out of bed while talking. And talking. And talking....
"Just let me eat breakfast first! OK?"
First Liz did the puppy eyes and then she stopped when she realized that Jess was not moving. She sighed and said in one of her saddest tones, "Ok." Jess smiled and promised her that she'd help her get ready later. That finally satisfied her and so she left Jess alone. Jess was pretty happy that it was Saturday. The only bad thing, is that in her house, it was almost always a work-day. As soon as she got out a biscuit from the fridge to heat up, her mom came in with a basket full of laundry.
"Today Beth ("SORA!" Liz yelled) is coming over, so I will need everyone's help getting the house in order." A groan came from everyone. "Oh, I don't ask much of you guys! Now, you start washing dishes, and you start drying." She said pointing to Jess and Liz. She left and they started to get busy.
Liz seemed very agitated, "Why can't she just say 'Jessy' and 'Liz'? Why does she have to say YOU do this, and YOU do that?"
"I guess it's just Mom's way of telling us what to do."
"Well it gets annoying."
Jess grinned. It just looked so funny to see a little eight year old wearing a pink shirt that said 'adorable' on it, and had her hair done in long pig tails so mad.
"WHAT?!"
"You're just so cute is all."
Liz sighed loud and long. She HATED being called cute. The home phone started ringing and Liz yelled,"I'll get it!" She answered the phone and then sighed and handed the phone to her.
"It's Caroline."
"Thanks!" She grabbed the phone and said, "Hello?"
"Hey!!!"
"How are you, Carrie?"
"Good thanks! you?"
"Good."
"So! Do you have any plans on Friday?"
"No, not really. Why?"
"I wanted to know if you might wanna come over."
"YEAH! I'll ask my mom when she's done with the laundry. OK?"
"OK! See you Monday?"
"Mhmm."
"Bye!" Carrie hung up.
Jess put the home phone up and went to her mom and dad's bedroom to help fold the laundry. Liz was already burning her mom's ear off with everything her and Beth were going to do. Just a little bit after that the phone started ringing and Liz ran to it like lightning. She then screamed, "SHE'S HERE!!!!!!!!!" and threw the phone on the couch and ran out the front door. Jess put the phone up and her mom yelled, "Liz, be careful! Don't run in front of the car! Get in the yard!"

"Hey Mom?"
"Yes?"
"I was wondering..."
"Yes?"
"Carrie asked if I could go to her house on Friday, and I-"
"You know that I'll have to talk to it with your father. I don't see why not though."
"Thanks Mom!" Then she ran to her room to call Carrie and tell her.
