Jess sat staring into the computer. She was on her g-mail and she didn't know how to reply to Carrie.

 What was she supposed to say to that? She had already been watching the screen for quite a while.

   "JESS! TIME FOR LUNCH!" Her mother yelled to her from the kitchen.

"COMING!" She yelled as she put her computer on sleep. She ran down stairs and sat beside Matthew at the table. "Hey little bro!" She said ruffling his hair. He grabbed her arm and threw it at her. Then she breathed in the wonderful smell of fried chicken.  Later that night, Jess and Carrie emailed back and forth until she could barely keep her eyes open and she finally fell asleep.
